CRISTIANO RONALDO x SHWETA

Small town girl with a stadium full of dreams 🏟

This content creator is breaking the rules with her football+ content: Combining football, pop culture and fashion to build her following and convert a few of her cricket-loving peers into diehard football fans. 🏏 ⚽️

Growing up in a small town in India where cricket was like a religion to many, she was introduced to the sport by her older brother and one goal kick from Ronaldo was all it took to keep her interested. Her love of the game only grew with every World Cup. After studying digital marketing and finding her piece of the internet, her fans grew as did her influence on the people back home creating a community of devoted Indian football fans.

Being a woman in the football space comes with its challenges of the judgement from toxic male fans, of course she knows what the offside rule is she watches every match 😤.  That behaviour didn’t stop her shine, her advice to female fans is to forget the noise,  fight for what you love and be a savage. 😈

We wanted to spotlight and reward Shweta’s incredible influence on her followers and her country, so with a little help from @PremierLeague Goal of the Month winner Cristiano Ronaldo 🐐, we had a special gift for Shweta to hang in her flat and show off to her brother.

MIGUEL ALMIRON X THE STRAWBERRY PUB

Taking its name from when the nuns of St Bartholomew’s planted strawberries and made wine, the legendary The Strawberry pub has been a spiritual home for Newcastle fans since 1892.

Known to be the best pub in the toon, it has been an integral part of Newcastle United's history for decades. With the prime location a stone's throw away from St James Park, The Strawberry was destined to be a place where the fans would flock to before, during and after the match. It is the cultural hub of all things NUFC.

A community hotspot for families and fans, with charity football matches and raffles, bucket collections for the local food banks and giving people a space to celebrate what they love with their fellow Geordies.

Co-Owners of the pub, The Strawberry, Caroline Armstrong and Michael Hill, have dedicated themselves to keeping the energy of The Magpies alive, in the oldest pub in the city, with memorabilia and signed walls that celebrate the players of the present and past.

Whether Newcastle wins or loses, the crowds will always flock to The Strawberry.

(As the locals say) Up the toon!

*This didn't go live but we love it anyway!
